Getting rid of Nudibranchs?

Post by tepperchris » Thu Jan 23, 2014 11:02 am

Taken from the FB Page

Q:Justin Cindy Rae: “How do I get rid of nudibranchs the easy way? Will something eat them or do I need to dip zoes weekly. Also some zoes are not dipable due to their location”

A:Bradley Keese “A 6 line wrasse will eat them.”

A: Sandy K weaver Hulsey, “Wrasses will help. And just keep dipping the ones you can and try to use something to suck the other little bastids off of the ones you can't dip. They will turn the color of the zoa they eat as camo.”

Unfortunately there is no easy way :( ...like Sandy said dip the ones you can and pick the others off the rocks you can't dip because of their location. Luckily they take their time eating the zoas but the larger their colonies become the more destructive they are so weekly dipping and manual removal is best. I have yet to see any natural predator such as a wrasse have any effect on them
